He later served as a branch president for the Mormon Church in England. He writes about his migration to Utah by way of New Orleans, Louisiana, and St. Louis, Missouri. He tells about settling in Nephi, Utah, and about later living in Cedar City, Utah. He also writes about his numerous positions in the Mormon Church and about family matters. He also tells about serving time in jail for polygamy.
